RJD leader Pappu Yadav surrenders before CBI judge

Patna: RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) candidate for the by-poll to Madhepura Lok Sabha seat Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav today (Oct 5, 2004) surrendered to the designated CBI judge in Patna in accordance with the Supreme Court order.

Yadav went to the court this afternoon and surrendered before the designated judge J K Sen in connection with CPM (Communist Party of India-Marxist) MLA Ajit Sarkar murder case.

Earlier on October 1 the Supreme Court had cancelled the bail of Yadav granted by the Patna High Court and asked him to surrender to the appropriate authorities in Patna.
