New Delhi: The Supreme Court today (Oct 8, 2004) stayed the trial court proceeding in POTA (Prevention of Terrorism Act) cases against MDMK (Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam) leader Vaiko and eight other partymen while admitting their petition challenging the POTA court's decision not to accept the Tamil Nadu public prosecutor's application seeking withdrawal of the cases.
