Hollywood legend Christopher Reeve who brought the character Superman to life breathed his last today (Oct 11, 2004).
He died of a heart failure in Northern Westchester Hospital, New York. He was aged 52 and is survived by wife Dana Reeve.
Some of his best performances other than 'Superman' include 'Death Trap' and Somewhere in Time'. He was paralysed after an equestrian accident in 1955. After his accident, Christopher Reeves became an advocate for those suffering from spinal cord injuries.
