Fall of corrupted RJD Govt in Bihar is certain: BJP Monday, October 11 2004 18:44 Hrs (IST)
Patna:
Launching a frontal attack on the Laloo-Rabri regime for its alleged failure in all fronts, BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) President M Venkaiah Naidu today (Oct 11, 2004) asserted that the fall of the 'corrupt and ineffective' RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) Government in Bihar was 'certain'.
Addressing a gathering after garlanding the statue of Lok Nayak Jaiprakash Narayan on his birth anniversary at his residence in Patna, Naidu alleged that the RJD Government had dealt "a severe blow to the ideology of the veteran socialist leader."
"The Government which had taken a pledge for honesty has become corrupt to the core," Naidu said and added that his party would continue its campaign till the people of the State got rid of the "corrupt, ineffective and incompetent" dispensation and "peace and rule of the law" was established.
Naidu said the "overwhelming success" of the rallies organised by the party in different parts of the State had proved beyond doubt that fall of the RJD Government was "certain".
Speaking on the occasion, senior BJP leader Murali Manohar Joshi said, "The exit of the corrupt dispensation in Bihar will be a true homage to JP". He called upon the people to take a pledge to overthrow the State Government.
Senior party leaders, S K Modi, Gopal Narayan Singh, C P Thakur, Ashwini Choubey, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Kirti Azad also spoke.
