Dharmapuri (TN): Surprise was in store for the curious onlookers to find the rather infamous moustache missing on the face of dreaded outlaw Veerappan, who was killed in an encounter near Dharmapuri last night (Oct 18, 2004).

"We are curious to see Veerappan as well as his moustache. But disappointed to notice that the moustache was trimmed," said one among the persons who assembled in the Government Hospital, to see Veerappan's body, which was brought for post mortem. The bullet-ridden body of Veerappan was brought to the hospital around 1.30 hrs (IST) and since then hundreds of people have been assembling to the hospital.

Some of the crowd even requested the police to exhibit the body in public for some time.
