Khurana to resign as Rajasthan Governor tomorrow
Sunday, October 24 2004 16:06 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: Rajasthan Governor Madan Lal Khurana, whose continuance at the Raj Bhavan has been a matter of speculation for quite sometime, will resign tomorrow (Oct 25, 2004).

He told over phone from Jaipur that he will arrive in the capital tomorrow morning and after meeting some well wishers will hand over his resignation letter to President A P J Abdul Kalam at 1:45 pm.

The senior BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) leader and former Delhi Chief Minister had earlier survived in the post when the UPA (United Progressive Alliance) Government had sacked NDA (National Democratic Alliance) appointed governors for alleged links with RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh).

Khurana who was keen to return to Delhi politics, is understood to have got clearance from the BJP high command.
