Inter-state intelligence to probe the 'hawala' issue
Tuesday, October 26 2004 19:12 Hrs (IST)

Palakkad: Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy today (Oct 26, 2004) said that the inter-State intelligence (ISI) support system would be utilised for probing the 'hawala' transactions in the State.

Talking to reporters in Palakkad, he said the Director General of Police would be leaving for Mumbai to speed up the process of investigation.

He said the State had only a limited role in the probe and a report had already been given to the Centre, as sought.

On the Kiliroor sex scandal, Chandy said the police investigation into the matter was 'foolproof' and transparent.
