Jaya is trying to create rift in the UPA: Ramadoss Tuesday, October 26 2004 17:37 Hrs (IST)
Madurai:
PMK (Pattali Makkal Katchi) founder Dr S Ramdoss today (Oct 28, 2004) charged Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa with using the intelligence service to create a rift in the UPA (United Progressive Alliance) in the State for her own benefit.
He told a press conference here that there would be no change in the DMK (Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam)-led Alliance in the State to fight the next Assembly polls.
In fact, more parties would join the alliance to defeat AIADMK (All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam) in the coming Assembly elections, he said.
He said that the DMK-led alliance, after winning the last Lok Sabha elections, had fulfilled 50 per cent of the electoral promises. The remaining would be implemented after the next Assembly elections.
"We are determined to remain united till the next Assembly elections and defeat the ruling AIADMK," he said.
Ramadoss also demanded that the Government come out with a white paper on the State's financial situation.
