Bihar Governor Justice M Rama Jois resigns today

Patna: Bihar Governor Justice M Rama Jois today (Oct 28, 2004) resigned.

Jois faxed his resignation letter to President A P J Abdul Kalam requesting him to accept his resignation with effect from November 1, 2004, Rajbhavan sources said.

Jois took over as Governor on June 12, 2003. Prior to taking over the charge of Bihar, Jois was the Governor of Jharkhand.

He was earlier the Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Courts.
