New Delhi:
Wishing ailing Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat speedy recovery, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today (Oct 29, 2004) offered any assistance that India can provide in this regard.
75-year old Arafat was today flown out of his West Bank headquarters on a Jordanian military helicopter and headed for treatment in Paris for a potentially fatal blood disorder.
In a letter to Arafat, Singh expressed the hope and prayers of the Indian people for the Palestinian leader's early return to good health so that he can continue to lead the friendly Palestinian people in their quest for a homeland of their own.
