Best bakery: Another witness identifies 5 accused

Mumbai: The second eyewitness to the Best Bakery carnage today (Nov , 2004) identified five accused in the court saying they were members of the riotous crowd that attacked the bakery on March 1, 2002 killing 14 persons.

Deposing before designated Judge Abhay Thipsay Raiz Khan, a bakery worker, said rioters came in the wee hours and attacked the bakery.

Khan, who was also injured the attack, identified five accused. Among them were three persons who were earlier identified by first eyewitness Taufel Ahmed Habibullah.

Last week, Taufel identified seven accused in the court saying they were part of the violent crowd that attacked the bakery on the ill-fated day.
