Mumbai: Newly elected legislator from Chinchpokli, Arun Gawli, was today (Nov 1, 2004) arrested by police on the charge of assaulting a city-based journalist.

"Police arrested Gawli on the charges of assaulting journalist Mateen Hafeez when he had gone to Gawli's residence to interview him," DCP Ashok Dongre told in Mumbai.
