Swaraj takes Naqvi's place as the BJP spokesperson

New Delhi: Sushma Swaraj was today (Nov 1, 2004) appointed as BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) spokesperson in place of vice president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi who has been made in-charge of party headquarters and included in powerful Central Election Committee (CEC).

Allocating responsibilities two days after naming his team of office bearers, new BJP president L K Advani made Sushil Kumar Modi and Ravi Shankar Prasad the spokesperson of Parliamentary Party in addition to V K Malhotra and Swaraj, party sources said in New Delhi.

The other party spokespersons Arun Jaitley, Yashwant Sinha and Madvendhra Singh remain untouched.

Swaraj did not find any place in the new team of office bearers although she was included in the National Executive.
