New Delhi: Railways would shortly launch a SMS-based enquiry to enable passengers to get information about their Passenger Numerical Record (PNR) status.

The number -- 676747 -- will also provide the status of train list, an official release said today (Nov 2, 2004), adding that the same number will be valid all over the country.
