Three militants including JeM ultra killed in JK Monday, November 8 2004 15:36 Hrs (IST)

Three militants, including a Pakistani ultra belonging to the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), were today (Nov 8, 2004) killed in two separate encounters in Kupwara and Pulwama districts of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.
The JeM militant identified as Abdul Subhan Qureshi, a resident of Pakistan, was killed in an encounter with security forces at Khumriyal in the border district of Kupwara in north Kashmir in the wee hours, the sources said.
An AK rifle, four magazines, 35 rounds, two hand grenades and a wireless set were recovered from the deceased militant, they said.
In another incident, two unidentified militants were killed in a gunfight with Rashtriya Rifles at Kralicheck village of Zainapora in Pulwama district of south Kashmir, the sources said.
The encounter broke out when militants opened fire on a search party which had moved to the village following specific information about the presence of ultras, they said adding two AK assault rifles, eight magazines, 240 rounds of ammunition, a wireless set and two hand grenades were recovered from them.
