Terrorists' suicide squad attacks CRPF camp in JK

Srinagar: A suicide squad of militants attacked a CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) camp housed in a hotel on the banks of the Dal Lake in Srinagar this evening (Nov 11, 2004), official sources said.

The militants hurled grenades and opened fire on the hotel situated at Konikhan-Dalgate around 6.30 pm, the sources said adding there was no report of loss of life.

The CRPF personnel in the camp returned the fire triggering a gunbattle which was on, they said.

Unconfirmed reports said four CRPF personnel were injured in the attack, the sources said.
