New Delhi: The Central Government will seek "information" from Tamil Nadu Government on the arrest of Kanchi Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati in a murder case.

"We will seek information from the State Government on the issue," Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil said in New Delhi today (Nov 12, 2004).

He, however, refused to comment on the merit of the case, saying it was between the accused and the court.
