Srinagar: Two militants holed up in a commercial complex atop a hill in Dalgate area in Srinagar today (Nov 17, 2004) have been killed by the security forces.

The entire area has been cordoned off and efforts were on to flush out the militants.

This incident occurred before the much awaited visit of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to Sher-e-Kashmir cricket stadium. Strong surveillance is also in place on the routes to be taken by the Prime Minister.

Al-Mansoorian militant outfit has reportedly claimed responsibility for the 'suicide attack' and details are awaited.
