Kancheepuram: The Kanchi Kamakoti Mutt in Kancheepuram expressed its disappointment over Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswathi being remanded to police custody.

"We are naturally disappointed," Mutt spokesman R Sankaran told sources in Kancheepuram.

"We wish and pray that the Swamiji will get bail at the earliest," he said.
