New Delhi:
RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) today (Nov 20, 2004) directed its cadres across the country to plunge headlong into the agitational programmes protesting the arrest of the Kanchi Shankaracharya and appealed to the Hindu society to make the VHP (Vishwa Hindu Parishad)'s 'Bharat Bandh' on November 22 a "success".
"We call upon the Hindu society along with all our Swayamsevaks and supporters to participate in a big way in all the agitational programmes being planned by several organisations expressing solidarity with the Kanchi Mutt and demanding the release of Jayendra Saraswati Swami," RSS spokesman Ram Madhav said in a statement from Kolkata.
"We appeal to the Hindu society to make the Bandh call given by the VHP a success," he said.
