Re-dedicate yourself to unity of all religions: Kalam
Tuesday, November 23 2004 16:25 Hrs (IST)

Let us re-dedicate ourselves to the freedom of human conscience, says Kalam
New Delhi: President A P J Abdul Kalam today (Nov 23, 2004) asked the people to re-dedicate themselves to the unity of all religions.

"Let us re-dedicate ourselves to the freedom of human conscience and the unity of all religions," he said in a message on the occasion of Guru Teg Bahadur Martyrdom Day tomorrow.

The life, teachings and martyrdom of Guru Teg Bahadur form a message of everlasting significance - of the oneness of all humankind, service to the poor and need of secularism, he added.

"It is an occasion for all of us to remember the glory of his sacrifice and to strive to follow the preaching of this saint," Kalam said.
