India, Pak decide to establish banking relations

New Delhi: India and Pakistan today (Nov 24, 2004) decided to establish banking relations as Prime Minister Manmohan Singh met his visiting Pakistan counterpart Shaukat Aziz in New Delhi.

As per the decision, the two sides decided to set up banks in each other's country on reciprocal basis, Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran told reporters.

He said the Central Banks of the two countries will "take the idea forward".
