New Delhi:
The Government today (Nov 24, 2004) decided to give a three-month extension to the high-level Committee probing the fire incident in Sabarmati Express at Godhra station in 2003 in which 59 people were killed.
The Union Cabinet at its meeting at the residence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh approved the proposal for extension of the probe panel beyond December 4, 2004, an official spokesperson said.
The extension has been sought to enable the Committee to complete its "complex investigations" and finalise its report.
