One more advocate held in 'ISI conspiracy' case Wednesday, November 24 2004 16:12 Hrs (IST)

One more advocate of Ahmedabad sessions court was arrested today (Nov 24, 2004) in the 'ISI conspiracy' case after he surrendered before the special POTA (Prevention Of Terrorism Act) court in Ahmedabad, taking the total number of lawyers arrested in the case in last three days to three.
Advocate Mohammed Ali Shaikh, accused of conniving with gangsters wanted in POTA cases and helping fund terrorist activities in the State, had surrendered before POTA court.
Proceedings for his police custody would be initiated tomorrow.
Meanwhile, in an order issued early today after a hearing for over five hours at POTA judge Sonia Gokani's house, advocate Mustaq Sayed was sent to three days' remand with the city crime branch for interrogation while senior advocate, 76-year old H N Zhala was remanded to judicial custody.
Both were arrested on Monday last for their alleged involvement in the case.
However, Zhala was later shifted to U N Mehta Cardiology Hospital by Gokani following complaints of chest pain.
