Thiruvananthapuram: The details of expenses incurred by candidates in the last Lok Sabha polls would be posted on the Election Commission's website, Chief Election Commissioner T S Krishnamurthy said today (Nov 24, 2004).

"We are compiling the information. All the details would be put on the website. If there are any violations, action would be taken," Krishnamurthy, who was in Thiruvananthapuram on a private visit, told reporters at the airport.

He said that the asset details of candidates filed along with nominations had been sent to the tax department and that Kerala would have the distinction of becoming the first State in the country having electoral rolls with photographs. "The draft of this has already been published and the final publication will be on January 3, next year," he said.

"We are going to extend this to other States. Pondicherry is getting ready with it and Haryana will be having it after the election," added Krishnamurthy.
