Kanchi Seer's judicial remand extended by 15 days

Kancheepuram: A Court in Kancheepuram today (Nov 26, 2004) extended the judicial remand of Kanchi Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswathi by 15 days till December 10 in the Sankararaman murder case.

The First Class Judicial Magistrate G Uthamaraja informed the Seer that his remand was being extended till December 10.

The Shankaracharya, arrested on November 11 in connection with the murder of local temple official Sankararaman, was produced before the court at 11.10 am amidst tight security.

The proceedings lasted a little under five minutes.
