Friday, November 26 2004 20:57 Hrs (IST)

Kanpur: A high level team of Indian Railways would visit Pakistan in the first week of December to work out the modalities of restoring the Rajasthan-Sind rail link between the two countries.

Announcing this, the chairman of Indian Railways R K Singh told reporters in Kanpur that the work of converting the 2.5 km railway line between Munnabao in Rajasthan and the border into broad gauge would be completed in next six to seven months.

India had yesterday (Nov 25, 2004) announced the restoration of rail-link between Munnabao and Khokrapar in Pakistan's Sindh province, suspended since 1965, from October next year.
