Kanchi Seer moves another bail plea in Madras HC Friday, November 26 2004 15:25 Hrs (IST)

The Kanchi Seer, Jayendra Saraswathi, arrested in connection with the Sankararaman murder case, today (Nov 26, 2004) filed a fresh bail application in the Madras High Court.
This is the second time that the Seer has moved the Madras High Court for bail.
An earlier bail application of the Seer was rejected by the High Court on Saturday (Nov 20, 2004) by Justice R Balasubramaniam.
The Seer has also filed an application in the Sessions Court today (Nov 26, 2004) seeking bail in connection with the assault case registered against him.
On November 23,2004 the Seer was served an "arrest memo" at the Vellore prison in a case relating to the attack on a former Kanchi mutt official, G Radhakrishnan, his wife and two others in Chennai in September 2002.
