The Commission decided to revisit the town and re-inspect the S-6 coach after going through the affidavits of several of the victims of the train carnage.

This visit by the Commission assumes significance following the recent visit of the U C Banerji Technical Committee of the Railways that was formed to probe into several expects of the fire on the S-6 coach.

Fifty-nine Karsevaks returning from Ayodhya were killed in the fire inside the coach that had sparked off the post-Godhra communal riots in 2002.
