The thaw in Indo-Pak relations is a "historic change" and Jammu and Kashmir is all set to be the "bridge of faith and trust" between the two nations, Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed said.
"The State is on the threshold of a bright tomorrow," he said, expressing optimism on the future of India-Pakistan dialogue process.
Seeking cooperation of the business community for a better future of Jammu and Kashmir, Sayeed said the State Government had a policy of equitable distribution of resources among all regions.
He was addressing the 24th Annual General Meeting of the Jammu Club in Jammu on Sunday evening (Nov 28, 2004). He praised the people of Jammu for upholding communal harmony, "despite provocations" over the past 15 years.
Sayeed, who is also president of the club, said facilities should be upgraded, intellectual activities taken up and corporate sector involved in the club.
