Get ready for another drubbing: Soren tells BJP Monday, November 29 2004 10:16 Hrs (IST)
Ranchi:
JMM (Jharkhand Mukti Morcha) chief Sibu Soren, who got back his coal portfolio after about four months, asked the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) to get ready for another 'drubbing' as, he claimed, people would vote them out of power in Jharkhand as they had done to the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) in the Lok Sabha election.
In his first rally after becoming Union Minister once again, Soren said BJP president L K Advani's calculation was wrong and the saffron party would have go after the Assembly polls due early next year.
Four days ago, Advani had said in Ranchi that though BJP performed poorly in Lok Sabha polls in Jharkhand, it would recover the lost ground and win with compound interest.
Charging the Sangh Parivar with trying to resort to 'divisive' tactics to grab power, Soren warned the people to ''be on guard against fascist forces like the BJP, the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) the VHP (Vishwa Hindu Parishad) create bloodshed in Jharkhand on communal and domicile grounds'.
Stating that his party represents all section of the society he said, ''I believe in unity in diversity...I promise job to every hand, better healthcare facilities, education and social harmony if voted to power.''
Soren accused the Arjun Munda Government of failing on all fronts.
