HC reserves order on Kanchi Seer's second bail plea

Chennai: The Madras High Court today (Nov 30, 2004) reserved orders on the bail application filed by Kanchi Seer Jayendra Saraswathi, who was arrested on November 11 in connection with the murder of Sankararaman, a temple official.

Justice R Balasubramaniam reserved orders after hearing extensive arguments from defence counsel I Subramaniam and prosecution counsel and senior advocate, K T S Tulsi.

This is the second bail application filed by the Pontiff.

The first bail plea was dismissed by the High Court on November 20.
