Manmohan has resolved Laloo-Paswan spat: Cong
Thursday, December 2 2004 19:45 Hrs (IST) - World Time

New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has managed to resolve the row between Union Ministers Laloo Prasad and Ram Vilas Paswan, Congress indicated today (Dec 2, 2004).

"Have you heard anything to the contrary?" party spokesman Anand Sharma asked reporters when queried whether the Prime Minister has been able to bring about truce between the two warring Ministers.

Sharma recalled that the Prime Minister, soon after his return from abroad on Tuesday (Nov 30, 2004) night, had said that he would look into the spat between Prasad and Paswan, which had come under attack from the Opposition.

Congress, which is heading the UPA (United Progressive Alliance) coalition, had found itself in an embarrassing position in the wake of the war of words, and had dubbed it "dynamics of regional politics" ahead of the Bihar polls.
