Wait for judicial verdict on Babri Masjid: AIMPLB
Sunday, December 5 2004 19:26 Hrs (IST) - World Time

New Delhi: The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) today (Dec 5, 2004) said all parties of the dispute should wait for the final judicial verdict on the Babri Masjid issue even while expressing concern that those guilty of demolition of the structure have not been brought to book.

"Deplorably, not only the perpetrators of this ghastly crime are free but continue with their vicious propaganda campaign based on hatred," the Board said in a release on the occasion of completion of 12 years of demolition of Babri Masjid.

Spotlight: The Ayodhya crisis

"A memorandum may be sent to Chief Minister of UP demanding issuance of a fresh notification and bring the case against those responsible for the demolition to the special bench of Allahabad High Court itself so as to really and befittingly punish the accused," the Board said.

It said, "Those who are refusing to abide by a court judgement are in fact ridiculing the judiciary and trampling the Constitutional values and the Government should take firm action against such persons."
