Monday, December 6 2004 15:10 Hrs (IST) - World Time

Indians across the globe watched in disbelief the drama of the Kanchi Shankaracharya being arrested and sent to jail on alleged murder charges.

Spotlight: Kanchi Jayendra Saraswathi's Arrest

The manner in which Shankaracharya was arrested, detained and interrogated by the TN police and the way the proceedings have been conducted so far have left millions of our citizens with feeling that justice is being denied in this case. Few accused have already pointed their finger to the police as fabricators of the case itself!

Discuss this topic

Therefore the Indian community is writing the letters to The Chief Justice of India, Department of Legal Affairs, National Human Rights Commission, requesting the transfer of this case out of Tamil Nadu.
