Seer case: Bail plea of eight accused adjourned

Kancheepuram: A Sessions court at Chengalpattu near Kancheepuram today (Dec 6, 2004) adjourned the bail plea of eight of the accused in the Sankararaman murder case, in which Kanchi Seer Jayendra Saraswathi has been arrested.

Sessions Judge Akhbar Ali, before whom the bail plea came up, adjourned it to Dec 13, 2004.

'Dil' Pandian, Arumugam and Satish who staged a proxy surrender before a court in Chennai on October 5, 'Kuruvi' Ravi and Meenakshi Sundaram, Sekhar and Senthilkumar, who allegedly made arrangements for this, have moved the court, seeking bail.

One of the main accused in the case, Kathiravan, has also sought bail.
