Seer case: Sessions court to pass orders on Dec 10 Tuesday, December 7 2004 19:17 Hrs (IST) - World Time

A Principal Sessions Court in Chennai will deliver its order on December 10 on the bail application filed by Kanchi Seer, Jayendra Saraswathi, in connection with former mutt associate Radhakrishnan assault case against him.
The Principal Sessions Judge, P Murugesan, reserved his orders after hearing arguments from the Seer's counsel, KS Dinakaran and the Prosecution counsel and Supreme Court advocate, KTS Tulsi.
On November 23, the Seer, lodged in Vellore prison after his arrest in connection with the Sankararaman murder case, was intimated about his arrest in the assault case.
The 23rd Metropolitan Magistrate, Chennai, Uma Maheshwari, had remanded the Seer to judicial custody till December 9 in connection with the case.
The Seer's involvement in the attack case came to light following a confessional statement under section 164 CrPC by Kathiravan, a co-accused in the September 3 last murder of a Kancheepuram temple official Sankararaman in which the Sankaracharya is the main accused.
Radhakrishnan, his wife and an attendant sustained injuries when they were attacked by two persons on September 20, 2002 in Chennai.
