Sex scandal: LDF rejects Govt plea to suspend stir Tuesday, December 7 2004 20:25 Hrs (IST) - World Time

The Opposition LDF (Left Democratic Front) in Kerala this evening (Dec 7, 2004) rejected the Oommen Chandy Government's appeal to suspend its agitation, demanding the resignation of Industries Minister P K Kunhalikutty over the sexual harassment allegations faced by him.
Coming out of an hour-long discussion with Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan said the LDF would go ahead with the struggle.
Leaders of all LDF constituents were invited for a talk, convened by the Chief Minister at short notice.
The LDF MLAs had observed a daylong sit in fast in front of the secretariat to press for their demand.
