President Kalam arrives in JK on a day's visit

Srinagar: President A P J Abdul Kalam arrived in Srinagar this morning (Dec 8, 2004) on a day's visit to Jammu and Kashmir.

Accompanied by Army Chief, General NC Vij, the President was received at the airport by State Governor Lt Gen (Retd) S K Sinha, Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, several State Ministers and other dignitaries.

Spotlight: Kashmir is NOT negotiable

The President after a brief stopover in Srinagar left for Kargil to visit troops deployed in the frontier district.

Later, Kalam will interact with school children in Srinagar and inaugurate the Ibadat-e-Shahadat museum at Badamibagh cantonment in Srinagar.
