NSCN-IM leaders meet Vajpayee and BJP leaders Thursday, December 9 2004 14:14 Hrs (IST) - World Time

NSCN-IM (National Socialist Council of Nagalim - Isak Muivah) leaders Isak Swu and T Muivah, who are in New Delhi for peace talks with the Government, today (Dec 9, 2004) met former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The Naga leaders called on Vajpayee at his residence this morning and held a one-hour meeting with the senior BJP leader.
Also present during the meeting were Centre's interlocutor for the Naga peace process K Padmanabhaiah and former National Security Advisor Brajesh Mishra as well as the emissary for the collective Naga leadership A S Atem.
The NSCN-IM leaders did not talk to the waiting media persons.
The dialogue with the NSCN-IM was started during the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) reign and the two Naga leaders when they last visited India in January last year had held talks with Vajpayee, who was then the Prime Minister and his deputy L K Advani.
