'Shahrukh, Saif shaken but safe, arrive in Mumbai'
Sunday, December 12 2004 16:48 Hrs (IST) - World Time

Mumbai: Hours after a bomb ripped through their mega-concert at Colombo, the team of film artistes, including Shahrukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan, who had participated in the show, arrived in Mumbai today (Dec 12, 2004).

Shahrukh Khan told media persons at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport that he and his colleagues were unhurt.

He also extended his sympathy to those who were killed and hurt in the incident.

He, however, clearly stated that such incidents would not deter him from going ahead and holding similar concerts.

Meanwhile, when contacted, staff of actor Saif Ali said, "He is safe."

"Though the incident shook him (Saif), we know that he will be able to take it in his stride, since he is a tough guy", the staff member told sources in Mumbai. A bomb had ripped through Shahrukh Khan's mega-concert at the Sri Lankan capital's open-air stadium late last night killing two persons and wounding 15, including a number of children.

The concert was held despite protests by Buddhist monks, who said the musical show coincided with the first death anniversary of a popular monk.
