Old foe Arjun Singh calls on PVN at AIIMS

New Delhi: Union Human Resource Development Minister Arjun Singh, once a bitter critic of former Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao, today (Dec 13, 2004) visited him at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) where he is making progress.

After meeting Rao, Singh said he conveyed his good wishes to the former Prime Minister. He quoted Rao as saying that they would meet when he recovered from his illness.

Speaking from his bed, the 83-year-old Rao said he was feeling much better and was "alright".

"I am alright. I have been feeling much better than before," said Rao who was admitted to AIIMS on Thursday (Dec 9, 2004) after he complained of breathlessness and suffered a cardiac arrest.
