Seer case: Bail plea, transfer plea dismissed in SC

New Delhi: The Supreme Court today (Dec 14, 2004) dismissed two writ petitions seeking bail for Kanchi Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswathi in the Sankararaman murder case and transfer of probe from Tamil Nadu Police to CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation).

The apex Court dismissed the petition saying the two petitioners had no locus standi to file petition on behalf of the Kanchi Seer.
