What not to do at IIT? Circulating a lewd MMS!

Midnapore (WB): A student of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, was today (Dec 15, 2004) arrested by the Delhi Police in connection with the circulation of a lewd MMS showing a girl and a boy of a leading school of the capital in a sexual act.

Police said the Delhi Police had come to know of Ravi Raj, a fourth year student of geology department, while investigating the case. After discussing the matter with Midnapore West district police, a team of the economic offences wing of the Delhi police reached Kharagpur and arrested Raj, a resident of Bihar.

The student would be produced before the sub-divisional judicial magistrate's court tomorrow (Dec 16, 2004) and he would be taken to Delhi, the police said. Sources in the IIT said its Registrar G Gunasekharan has ordered an inquiry into the incident.
