Thursday, December 16 2004 16:23 Hrs (IST) - World Time

Hubli: The First Additional district and sessions court today (Dec 16, 2004) again adjourned to Dec 18, the hearing of a revision petition challenging the discharge of former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti in a decade-old criminal case.

When the petition came up for hearing, the Judge Durgappa ordered serving of fresh notice on one of the accused Suresh Vasudev Raj, an RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) activist.

Despite court orders, the authorities could not serve the notice on him and this (notice) would be served now.

Six social activists had challenged the discharge of Uma Bharti and others by the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC).
