New Delhi: The Delhi Public School student, who allegedly shot the video clippings of his amorous activities with his classmate, was tonight (Dec 19, 2004) arrested in the case in which two others who circulated the photos on the Internet have also been booked.

The 17-year-old boy is the son of an exporter and is a resident of posh Defence Colony locality of the capital.

Earlier, a student of IIT, Kharagupr, Raviraj was arrested on the charge of circulating and sale of CDs of the sex clips, the proceeds of which he had allegedly deposited in his bank account.

Avnish and Raviraj are in judicial custody.

The DPS student was arrested by the economic offence wing (EOW) of Delhi police, which is examining the provisions of IPC and the Information Technology Act under which he can be booked.

The whole issue hit the limelight less than a month ago when pictures of the boy and the girl were circulated through multi-media service (MMS) on cell phones allegedly circulated by the boy to his friends.

Later, it reached children in other schools and hit the market. Both the boy and the girl of Class XII have been expelled from school. While the boy joined another school in Delhi, the girl reportedly left the country.

Now in the custody of EOW officials, the boy will be produced before a court tomorrow.

He had been missing from his Defence Colony residence for the last two days.
