Mumbai: Prime witness in the Best Bakery carnage, Zaheera Sheikh, today (Dec 21, 2004) began her deposition in the retrial being conducted at the special court at Mazgaon.

Manjula Rao, the special public prosecutor, began the examination of Zaheera.

Rao, had yesterday (Dec 20, 2004) concluded the cross-examination of Sehrunissa Sheikh, Zaheera's mother.

Sehrunissa said that neither she nor any of her family members had accepted money to turn hostile.
