No leak in CAT results from website: says IIM-A Wednesday, December 22 2004 13:05 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Ahmedabad:
There was no leak in the Common Admission Test (CAT) results from the Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad) website, IIM-A director Bakul
Dholakia said today (Dec 22, 2004).
However, he said the testing of putting the results online should have been done under more 'secure' environment.
"The results were not leaked yesterday and there was no breach of security into the IIM (A) website at all. The CAT results were to be put online from midnight yesterday in any case and we experiment and do online testing of the accessibility of the results," Dholakia told reporters at IIM (A) campus.
"During this testing, conducted on Monday for about two hours, if anybody has access to the IIM (A) website link and the web address to get the results in specific,....they can see the results simultaneously....it cannot be called breach.
However, what we did not do and should have done is change the web address. We retained last year's even during the testing period and those got access may have been trying for a long time," Dholakia said.
