PVN Rao to be cremated on banks of Hussainsagar

Hyderabad: The mortal remains of former Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao will be cremated on the banks of Hussainsagar lake on Necklace road in Hyderabad tomorrow (Dec 25, 2004), an official said.

The Andhra Pradesh Government today (Dec 24, 2004) allotted 2.9 acres of land on north side of the lake between rock garden and Sanjivaiah park, Hyderabad Urban Development Authority (HUDA) Vice-Chairman Ashok Kumar told sources in Hyderabad. Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy visited the site and after consulting family members of Rao finally decided the cremation site.
