This was disclosed to newsmen this afternoon by the Mutt's lawyer, Revathy.

The Mutt's lawyer, Revathy said it had been submitted to the Investigation office that it might not be convenient for the junior Seer, Vijayendra Saraswathi, to 'leave the Mutt' this month, as 'it is a month of special poojas'.

The special team's reaction to this submission is awaited by the Mutt.

The senior Seer, Jayendra Saraswathi was arrested at Mehboobnagar in Andhra Pradesh on November 11 and put behind bars in Vellore Central jail the next day, in connection with the Sankararaman murder case.

Since the arrest of his senior, the junior Seer has been maintaining a stoic silence over the issue and has so far not called on his guru in the jail.
